AMBER GUTHRIE

Amber was born in Arkansas but proudly raised in Texas. She attended 2 years of college and decided her destiny was to be behind the chair and not behind a desk! She graduated from the Aveda Institute Of Austin, right here in town. After graduating, Amber moved to Chicago where she worked in an Aveda Salon for 4.5 years earning her way to Senior Stylist, Social Media Coordinator, Key Holder, and Makeup Artist for the salon’s bridal team. She then went on to open her own small salon business, “The Lone Star Suite” which she successfully operated for 3 years. She felt a calling to return to Texas and with the support of her family, she’s officially fulfilled her dream to work at the Top Salon in Austin at Urban Betty! Blondes, Balayage, Lived in Color, Mens Hair and Hair Extensions are her most-requested services. Amber also has a 2nd job utilizing her education and sales expertise working as a Brand Ambassador for the popular hair product & hair tool company, Amika! When she’s not at the salon, she enjoys attending baseball games (especially if it’s the Texas Longhorns) She plays the banjo, enjoys golfing, fishing, and going to Barre/Weight Lifting classes! Her goal is for every client to leave her chair feeling like the very best version of themselves.
