At the tender age of five, Jaclyn was already showing the world her passion for working with hair when she borrowed her mother’s scissors and surprised the family with her new and incredibly short bangs. Thankfully, her talent and skills have grown immeasurable allowing Jaclyn to live her “dream job” today.
Growing up near Dallas, Jaclyn learned about perseverance and strength of character training horses in the art of Dressage, playing on her school’s tennis team, and working summers for a very rustic inner-city camp for kids. After attending Abilene Christian University for almost two years Jaclyn decided her future was in hair, leading her to the Aveda Institute in Dallas. She knew she had found her calling.
After completing her training at Aveda, Jaclyn spent a year as an apprentice honing her coloring skills at the well-known Tru Salon in Dallas. A visit to her brother, now living in Austin, convinced her that Austin would be the best place to express her creativity. In 2014 she packed up her car and moved to Austin and Urban Betty where she was privileged to apprentice for the amazing Nina Fitzgerald.
Jaclyn loves color and has a talent for bringing forth the perfect shade for each one of her clients. She is well versed in various techniques such as balayage, ombre, and foliage, and continues to seek out education keeping her current with the newest techniques available ensuring her clients receive the most up to date hair trends available.
