KAT TIRADO

I grew up in L.A. and moved to Austin in 2010. I always had a sense of creativity but needed to learn how to utilize it. I worked as a makeup artist and began dabbling in photography, cooking, and interior design. It wasn’t until I met my husband that I decided to look into finding a career for myself, and he inspired me to begin my journey as a hairstylist. I turned to Instagram, began exploring all hair artist pages, and was instantly inspired. Seeing others create confidence-boosting transformations was precisely what I wanted to do! We enrolled in beauty school full-time, pushed through, and got our licenses. We are both establishing ourselves as professionals, meeting new people & learning so many new things. My specialties are lived-in color and low-maintenance custom cuts! My dream is to be able to be an expert traveling hairstylist! I am incredibly excited to be a part of the Urban Betty team, and everyone is always helpful, encouraging, and supportive!
