Female-Founded Hair Salon & Woman-Owned Beauty Brand
Growing up, Chelle was a natural when it came to expressing herself creatively. This manifested through a knack for doing hair and creating art. At the age of 16, Chelle enrolled in cosmetology school and was a fully licensed cosmetologist by age 18. Ten years later, she opened Urban Betty! Eighteen years later, Urban Betty thrives with two locations, newly added spa services, and a soon-to-be-opened third salon in Round Rock, Texas. On top of that, Chelle launched Urban Betty Haircare. A product line that sells haircare products of the highest quality while empowering women by donating 1% of the profit to support female entrepreneurs.
Chelle champions women in various industries and thrives when given the opportunity to connect with small-business leaders in her community and beyond. With this in mind, in 2017, she launched a series of education classes for the general public and stylists called Betty Bootcamp.
Urban Betty is a 100% commission-based salon where stylists and aestheticians are employees rather than independent contractors. From a humble beginning to thriving haircare horizons, Urban Betty is a fixture of the Austin, Texas, beauty scene for years to come, thanks to the vision of business-savvy Chelle Neff.
