GET IN TOUCH WITH YOUR INNER BLONDE: WARM SKIN EDITION
Written by Jessica Tellez, Hairstylist at Urban Betty
Once you’ve determined your skin tone and decided you have your heart set on blonde, it’s time to google image search. Below are some options for your next salon visit if your skin has a warm (aka yellow) undertone.
WARM BUTTER BLONDE
A warm butter blonde is about as light as you should go if you have warm skin undertones. Too icey will wash you out, but don’t fret! You can still go with an all over butter blonde and stay warm. Just remember, the further you go from your natural color, the more frequently you’ll be at the salon!
NATURAL BLONDE
Going for a more natural look, but still want pizzaz? It may mean more frequent trips to the salon, but you can still get away with a rooted look, allowing for just base colors every other (or two) times, depending on your natural color. Go with a shade along these lines.
DEEP ROOTED LOOK
Is your hair already on the darker side and you’re not really into maintaining every 6 weeks? Go for a warm honey balayage with a deep rooted look. The warmth from your ends plays really nicely against the warmth of your skin.
AND THERE YOU HAVE IT!
Everyone can be a blonde, just trust your stylist, consider your commitment level, and know your skin tone. You’ll look fabulous (and have more fun)!
