MORGAN DETCHON

Morgan began her cosmetology journey at just 16 years old through a vocational program, where she quickly discovered a passion for the industry that would shape her career. What started as an interest in becoming a language arts teacher shifted the moment she stepped into a salon environment. “I fell in love with doing hair and making people feel good about themselves.”

After relocating from Ohio to Austin in 2018, Morgan joined the team at Urban Betty and has since grown alongside the company. With over a decade of hands-on experience behind the chair, she brings a deep understanding of both the technical and guest experience sides of the industry into her role as Salon Manager.

Morgan now focuses on leading daily salon operations, supporting her team, and ensuring a seamless, elevated experience for every guest. Her background as a stylist allows her to coach with intention, uphold high standards, and create systems that support both team success and client satisfaction.

Known for her attention to detail and thoughtful, solutions-focused approach, Morgan plays a key role in maintaining the culture and consistency Urban Betty is known for. She is passionate about team development, ongoing education, and creating an environment where both guests and staff feel taken care of.

Outside of the salon, Morgan is a proud dog mom who enjoys knitting and spending time on a patio with a glass of wine and good company.
