DAKOTA CHANDLER

Growing up in a small town where self-expression was often discouraged, Dakota discovered a passion for helping others feel like their true selves through beauty. Without formal training, Dakota began working on film sets for student projects to pay for school. It was during this time that he realized transforming people into their best selves and helping them see their beauty brought the most joy.

Dakota began undergraduate studies in Psychology at ACC and then moved on to The Aveda Institute in Austin for beauty school. After graduating, he was drawn to Urban Betty’s stellar reputation. From the moment he walked in, it was clear that Urban Betty was the perfect salon home. The vibrant energy at the front desk and the warmth of the stylist confirmed that this was the right place.

Dakota specializes in long shaggy layers, short fades, balayages, lived-in blondes, and high-level healthy blonding. While these techniques are Dakota’s specialties, there is also a passion for creating fun, vivid colors that make a bold statement.

Outside of the salon, he enjoys rock climbing, discovering new vegan restaurants around town, and exploring national parks.
