OUR BETTY OF THE WEEK IS CATHERINE SMITH

The Betty of the Week is Catherine Smith @cath.cuts.hair! Catherine graduated from The Salon Professional Academy in September 2021; she began working @urbanbettysalon as an Associate in February 2022. She is finishing the associate program and is on her way to becoming a Stylist at Urban Betty!

✨When did you start at UB, or when did we meet?

February of 2022

✨When and where did you graduate from?

I graduated in September 2021 from The Salon Professional Academy in Georgetown, TX @tspageorgetown

✨What did you want to be when you grew up?

I always wanted to be an artist when I grew up. I love painting, collaging, and I started cutting and coloring my hair when I was 14 as a form of creative expression.

✨Where are you from?

I was born and raised in California and moved to Austin during high school.

✨What do you like to do outside of work?

Spend time in nature, whether it be hiking, camping, or creating art, and I always make time to attend local punk shows!

✨If you could be a superhero, what would your superpower be?

I would love to be able to communicate with anyone in any language!

Catherine brings her own unique and creative style to the #teambetty, and she has quickly become a staple at the 38th street salon. She loves horror just like me, and I can’t wait to hear her reviews of all the latest movies! #urbanbetty
