MORGAN DETCHON

Morgan jumpstarted her cosmetology career when she was just 16 years old, as she had the unique opportunity to enroll in the cosmetology program at a vocational school. Morgan initially wanted to be a language arts teacher, but as soon as she started working in a salon, she was inspired to become a stylist. “I fell in love with doing hair and making people feel good about themselves.”

Morgan moved to Austin from Ohio in the summer of 2018 for a change of scenery, and shortly afterward, she started working at Urban Betty. While Morgan has over ten years of experience as a stylist, she still takes any opportunity to improve and hone her skills through continued education and training.

Morgan is a Certified Redken Specialist with a unique talent for natural looking “lived in” hair color, grey coverage/blending and, soft highlights. She also enjoys doing soft blend layers and short haircuts such as bobs and pixies. Morgan’s strong attention to detail and methodical approach guarantee that every client will receive the same high-quality service. Her easy-going personality and outstanding listening skills ensure every guest feels comfortable in her chair.

Outside the salon, Morgan is the best dog mom. She loves spending her free time knitting and sitting on a patio sipping wine with friends.
