Written by Hannah Perez, Stylist at Urban Betty

Headscarves have been a popular, bold summer accessory for decades! Whether you’re going for a vintage look, a quick no-fail go-to on bad hair days, or a cool-girl addition to a low braid or some beach waves, here are some easy but glamorous ways to tie your favorite scarf up around your locks and make a statement this summer!

FULL COVERAGE ROSE KNOT

Start with half of a large scarf rolled up, with about a 9 inch triangle free. Wrap the base of the triangle around the back of your head, with the rolled ends coming to meet towards your face. be sure that the point of the triangle sits comfortably under the two rolled ends coming together. Twist the two rolled ends tightly around each other until you reach the end. Using one hand to secure the center of your rose, neatly wrap the twist around in a circle, growing the rose wider and wider in diameter. as you reach the end of the twist, wrap the ends tightly beneath the rose to secure.

Again, start with half of a large scarf rolled up, with about a 9 inch triangle free. Wrap the base of the triangle around the back of your head, with the rolled ends coming to meet towards your face. Wrap the rolled ends around each other twice, then pull tight, making sure the point of the triangle sits comfortably under the tightened wrapped ends. Wrap the remaining length to the base of your neck and tie once, the wrap the open ends under to conceal them.
